Angela Wilson Memorial Bursary

Established in 2007, the purpose of the bursary is to honour the memory of Angela Wilson and the contribution she made to the fabric of our society as a daughter, friend, student and nurse. She graduated in 2005 from John Abbott College’s Intensive Nursing Program.

Barbara Baudinet Paramedic Bursary

The donor, Barbara Baudinet, wishes to offer a bursary to a full-time or deemed full-time John Abbott College student who is registered in the Paramedic program and has demonstrated financial need to continue their studies.

These bursaries were established by Bibliofiche to support John Abbott College students who are registered in the Information and Library Technologies program and are in financial need.

- Must be a full-time or deemed full-time student registered in Information and Library Technologies program at John Abbott College
- Preference to a student who is looking to pursue this field of study post John Abbott College
- Good academic standing, with a minimum average of 75%
- Students must write an introduction letter outlining their interest in Information and Library Technologies

Ben McKinnon Memorial Scholarship

In recognition of artistic spirit, personality, talent and passion of Ben McKinnon who passed away in late 2016 at age 24, the Hudson Village Theatre company and Ben’s family created The Ben McKinnon Memorial Scholarship. This generous scholarship of $500 is awarded annually (amount may vary from year to year depending on resources) to a current student who exemplifies a passion for pursuing the Theatre arts, who contributes to the community, and who is deemed in need of financial assistance in order to continue their studies.

- Must be a full-time student registered in their third year of the Theatre program who is pursuing university studies in the Theatre art

CAE Tech: Program your career!

Award Amount: $1000.00 (number of scholarships 2); $300.00 (tuition subsidy every semester until program completion); paid internship(s) or summer job(s)
The CAE Tech: Program your career! initiative aims to develop talent and boost the reach, the relevance and the quality of workplace traineeship possibilities in an innovative and collaborative way. This initiative supports the vision of the Business/Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) launched in 2015 by the Business Council of Canada. It is also part of a broad range of grants offered by CAE to promote job-creation in the aerospace industry.

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be registered full-time in a technical program of studies such as in computer technology, avionics or computer networking

- Be available and able to carry out the traineeships at CAE over the course of the program

Cody Bouchard Memorial Scholarship

Cody Bouchard, a John Abbott College student was a very special young man who cared for his school mates. Courageous, kind, courteous and socially engaged, Cody was to graduate from the Business Management program in the spring of 2020 but, unfortunately, he passed away after a courageous nine-month battle with cancer.
